The movements of boats have been prohibited by the authorities in Varanasi. The water level in Ganges was recorded at 62.320 meters.

Due to heavy rain, the water is flowing above the danger mark in the river Ganges, so the authorities in Varanasi have prohibited boating in the river.
"The movements of boats have been prohibited till the situation does not normalize. The electric engineers have been instructed to take care of short-circuits and check current passing from the river water then a detailed inspection on the same would be conducted," said District Magistrate Pranjal Yadav.

The locals staying on the banks of the River Ganges have started relocating as water entered the temple premises. The water level in Ganges was recorded at 62.320 meters.
