Spears is currently being held for mental evaluation at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, following her well-publicised meltdown on Jan 3.When contacted by the entertainment news program Access Hollywood, Lynne sounded upset and said, "Just say prayers."
Britney had a face-off with police at her home after refusing to turn over two year-old Jayden James to Federline’s bodyguard.
After a police intervention, the frantic singer was strapped to a gurney and taken by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai, where she will be held for 72 hours to for mental evaluation.
A source close to the family revealed that the whole Spears family is "terrified" about the situation.
"Everyone has been worried for some time. Her world has been crumbling around her and this is another call for help,” People quoted the source, as saying.
“Her parents are just devastated. Nobody knows if they can take much more, but they're trying to be as strong as they can,” the source added.
