A 47-year old Briton from South East London is suffering from an unusual addiction and became the first person in the country to get professional help to overcome his addiction to pork sausages.
David Harding, who is an accountant from Greenwich, used to rack up annual bills of over £700 purchasing McWhinney’s pork sausages. Harding revealed that the urge to eat at least one sausage a day began when he first ate it when he was just 5 years of age.

He has now spent over £2,000 on hypnotherapy to overcome the condition that sees him eat at least 13 bangers a day. Harding admitted that he has a problem and compared it with drug addiction.

“I genuinely cannot bear the thought of living without sausages. Drug addicts crave their medicine of choice, and it’s the same for me – except that my drug is a banger”, he said.
