Café Coffee Day, India’s premier retail chain of coffee cafes, on opening its 300th outlet in Mumbai on Wednesday said that it has planned to reach the target of 500 by the year 2007.
"It has been a great journey and we are very happy to have played a large role in firmly establishing the coffee café culture in our country," said Naresh Malhotra, director of the Amalgamated Bean Coffee Trading Company Ltd., the parent company of the chain."Not only have we delighted millions of young-at-heart customers, we have created huge numbers of jobs and business opportunities along the supply chain," he added.
The 300th outlet faces the beautiful Powai lake and is based on the increasingly popular Lounge Café format started by the chain with warm tones and comfortable seating indoors and outdoors.
The ambience, as at all Café Coffee Day outlets, is youthful and lively and includes a state-of-the-art digital jukebox.
