Researchers at the University of Alberta have urged the government to legalize the use of marijuana claiming that there are no "typical" pot smokers.
In a study of 41 people, the researchers found that they were using marijuana as a way to relax and were selective and moderate in their use."This study indicates that people who use marijuana are no more a criminal threat to society than are alcohol and cigarette users," said study author, Geraint Osborne of the University of Alberta's Augustana Campus in Camrose.
The study is published in Substance Use and Misuse.
