A leading cardiologist has said that choosing healthy lifestyle options could increase the possibility of living up to 90 years to more than 90 percent.

According to Dr Yancy, the seven life style factors include: being physically active, controlling cholesterol levels, following a healthy diet, controlling blood pressure levels, maintaining a healthy weight, managing diabetes and avoiding tobacco products such as smoking.
“Achieving these seven simple lifestyle factors gives people a 90 per cent chance of living to the age of 90 or 100, free of not only heart disease and stroke but from a number of other chronic illnesses including cancer”, Dr Yancy said.
