CDC Says Number of Youngsters Having Sex Down in the US
The number of youngsters in the United States having sex has fallen down by a significant margin, a new survey carried out by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention revealed.
More than 5,300 men and women between the ages of 15 to 24 years took part in the survey with over 28 percent stating that they are yet to have sex, up from 22 percent found during a similar survey back in 2002.

According to the study, 27 percent of young men and 29 percent of young women revealed that they had not experienced oral, vaginal or anal sex. The numbers were complemented by the fall in the number of teen pregnancies in the country.

Bill Albert from the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy said that while the abstinence-only sex education promoted during George Bush’s presidency could have had an effect, figures revealed that vaginal intercourse between unmarried adolescents had shown a decline since 1988.
