Twitter was abuzz with celebrities sending their best wishes to the American actress, Rita Wilson after she underwent a double mastectomy. She was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Rosie O’Donnell tweeted "Amazing woman!," Maria Shriver cheered "Proud of my friend" and Kristin Chenoweth declared "Loving you," the New York Post reported.

The Good Wife star, who revealed that she has breast cancer and had a double mastectomy, said that she’s suffering from an underlying condition, lobular carcinoma in situ, which she’s closely monitored over the years through mammograms and MRIs.

Wilson added that later, pleomorphic carcinoma in situ was discovered, but one doctor found no traces of cancer, but she sought out a second doctor who did find cancer and a third confirmed those results.

Wilson noted that she is recovering and most importantly, expected to make a full recovery because she caught this early, has excellent doctors and got a second opinion. She added that she hopes this will encourage others to get a second opinion and to trust their instincts, if something doesn’t feel right.
