In a study of 3,749 people, scientists studied the manner in which people washed their hands. Results showed that 60% of them especially women did not wash their hands the way they should.

The study also found that 10.3 per cent did not care to wash their hands while 22.8 per cent washed them, but with no soap. Only 5.3 per cent washed their hands for more than 15 seconds.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has brought out proper rules for cleaning hands perfectly and that includes washing both hands with soap and water by rubbing them together with pressure for at least 20 seconds.
