A chocolate model of soccer ace David Beckham cracked just hours before an Easter exhibition.
Simon Dunn, who runs three chocolate shops in the North-West, created a life-size version of the footballer to celebrate 25 years in the choc business. But as it was being loaded for a trip to London to take centre-stage in a special exhibition, the chocolate version of Beckham suffered a late injury scare when his arm snapped off.
"We spent two months putting it together. It's heartbreaking to have an injury at the last minute," the Daily Star quoted Dunn as saying.
The 47-year-old chocolatier said that the disaster took place outside his shop in Hazel Grove, Stockport, as he took a quick photo.
"We had the model outside and put him in a 'wall' with all the lads from the shop who helped to make it," he said.
"Unfortunately, the chocolate version appears more injury prone than Becks himself," he added.
