Coffee May Increase Female Libido

This effect will be seen in only those who do not consume the beverage regularly.

The female libido can be increased by drinking coffee, according to scientists belonging to the Southwestern University who carried out experiments on rats. Coffee in effect stimulates a part of the brain which is involved in regulating arousal. This effect will be seen in only those who do not consume the beverage regularly, as it was seen in the experiment that the rats involved had never been administered caffeine before.

While coffee raises risks with regard to heart diseases, it has a positive effect with regard to diminishing the cancer risk and also improving memory power. A moderate caffeine dose was administered to 108 female rats as a part of the experiment, which resulted in the time gap between two mating sessions being reduced considerably. While this may be the case in human beings also, all women may not react in the same manner.

As many as 10 cups of coffee may be required for the same effect to be replicated in human beings. The experiment will also serve us to understand sexual behavior better. The experiments are still at their early stages to come to any definite conclusions.
