Computer Professional Smashes Head of Girl for Talking to a Boy

An Indian computer professional has smashed the head of a girl for talking to a boy. Apparently he doesn’t like girls talking to boys, for he had been spurned by many girls in the past.

Wahabi muslims wont allow their women to talk with strangers. A southern Indian Hindu computer professional student Friday smashed the head of a girl for the crime of talking to a male.

The girl is not in any way related to the programme developer, nor was he in love with her.

Only he could not stand her talking to a male. How could girls talk to boys when they were spurning him, such was the logic, he reportedly told the police. The girl is under treatment in hospital.

J Archana Sheelvanth, a 19-year-old student, was hit brutally with a cement slab from behind when she was on her way to her college. The attacker was overpowered by shocked passersby, and the girl was rushed to hospital.

The man apprehended, Vijay Kumar, working with a local computer firm, told the police he had seen her talking to a boy a little earlier and that infuriated him.

No, it was not as if he was in love with her, he didn’t even know her. Only the sight of any girl talking to a boy rankled him after he himself was spurned by a few. How could they and what was wrong with him?

Somebody had to pay for the gross injustice done to him and it simply happened to be Archana, reasoned the boy, the Times of India reports.

Police said he was unlikely to be mentally unsound, but were sending him for medical tests.

Police registered a case under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code, making it a case of attempt to murder and Vijayakumar has since been remanded in judicial custody.
