"Alcohol tends to have disinhibiting properties," scientist Robert Mann said. "If a person is feeling suicidal and is under the influence, they may be more likely to act on this urge."It is well known that there is a powerful link between alcohol and depression, but the lethal connection between alcohol and suicide is more apparent in women rather than in men.
