A UBC study has reported that more than 670 adult cyclists suffered from injuries while cycling and had to be admitted into emergency wards between June 2008 and March 2009.
Kay Teschke, UBC professor and leader of the study, revealed that more than one in ten cyclists had to stay overnight at the hospital as the injuries were severe.These findings are based on the assessment of 1,100 cyclists who have been injured in Toronto and Vancouver in the said period.
