The registration of Krishan Gopal Garg from the Delhi Medical Council was canceled for five years, as his nursing home was allegedly found flouting the PNDT Act.
The Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PNDT) Act is aimed at preventing the misuse of prenatal diagnostic technique for sex selective abortions. The Delhi Medical Council has cancelled the registration of a city based doctor, Krishan Gopal Garg, whose nursing home was allegedly found flouting the PNDT Act of 1994. The decision came after a lower court in Haryana cancelled the registration of Krishan Gopal Garg's nursing home in Palwal district of Haryana. Girish Tyagi, registrar of Delhi Medical Council, said, "We have cancelled the registration of Krishan Gopal Garg from the Delhi Medical Council for five years. We will also send a circular to all other state medical councils of the country, so that he can't be allowed to practice during the duration."
