Boots for people with larger calves and ankles have been created by a Melbourne-based designer. Research shows that more than 60 percent of Aussie women aged 15 to 55 have trouble, or know someone who has difficulty, finding boots to fit their legs.
Amanda Bennetts faced the same problem before she began designing boots for "cankles".
"Originally I thought I was the only one with chunky calves, but when I mentioned it to a few of my friends, they too had the same problem," the Herald Sun quoted Bennetts, as saying.
She added: "I felt a lot better knowing I wasn't the only one."
She started making boots and sold them at markets.
The market stall soon developed into Bennetts Boots, the only wide calf boot specialist Down Under.

Bennetts said: "We don't take a common boot, put a strip of elastic in it and call it wide calf.

Bennetts' boots are made of high-end soft quality leather and are available in a range of colours.
They comprise three calf widths to elongate the leg and full-length zips ensure they are easy to slip on and off.
They also have an anti-smell, anti-sweat lining and extra cushioning in the sole.
Bennetts said: "Fashion is about individuality and expressing yourself through your personal style and every woman deserves exclusive designs, which is why we limit the number of boots we make in every style."
