DJO Introduces Movation Total Knee Arthroplasty System
Medical devices maker DJO Global announced the launch of its total knee arthroplasty (TKA) system, Movation, which has been developed at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York.
The company has procured a license for this product and has refined several features so as to improve the comfort and performance.

Some of the standout features of the product include a “constant axis femoral component, contoured insert condyles for reduced rotational stress, reduced and rounded trochlear transition, and anatomic femoral and baseplate components,” reports Medgadget.

Commenting on the new launch, Bryan Monroe, Senior Vice President and General Manager of DJO Surgical said, “Our goal was to develop a knee system with features that we know have historically performed extremely well, but also incorporate assets that allow TKA patients to remain active, such as high flexion allowance, enhanced stability through flexion, and e-plus™ vitamin E polyethylene.”

Movation also comes with a new instrument set that makes it easily implantable.
