Doctor Arrested for Molesting a Woman in the ICU

Police has arrested a doctor of a private nursing home for allegedly molesting a woman, who had gone for the treatment of her 2month old boy. The doctor was held on Wednesday, Dec 15 after the victim filed a complaint against him. According to the complaint, Dr. Narendra Nanavre, 32, of Dattatre Nursing Home in Vakola groped the woman. The previous night the victim and her husband had admitted their baby in the hospital over some health complications and there were no other patients in the room. "In the morning, the husband went home after instructing his wife to take care of the child. Soon Nanavre, who was the nightshift in-charge, approached the victim and told her that he wanted to check the baby. Subsequently, he insisted that he wanted to examine her too. Nanavre told the victim to remove her clothes and then allegedly molested her," a police officer said.

Soon after the incident the woman contacted the concerned nurse on duty and narrated the incident to her. The doctor denied all allegations when the nurse approached him. However later, the victim and her husband lodged a FIR at the Vakola police station which led to the doctor's arrest.
