A 11-year old Briton who was severely allergic to dogs became the first person to be cured of his allergy following an experimental drug that includes dog hair.

Danny Pearce was diagnosed with the allergy when he was just three after coming in contact with a puppy that his father, Jonathan Pearce, had brought. Pearce revealed that his son would suffer from reaction even when he sat on a chair vacated by a dog owner.

Danny then underwent an experimental treatment that included specialized drugs which included dog hair and has been completely cured of his allergy. “I've always loved dogs but couldn't touch them. This treatment has changed all that - it's absolutely brilliant”, Danny said, adding that he is now able to touch any number of dogs without any adverse reactions.

This case is a novel way to reduce sensitivity to different objects. However all cases cannot be treated in this way.
