Trying to lead a healthy lifestyle by exercising and eating well when being diagnosed with cancer can have hidden benefits after a new study found that such a habit could prevent the cancer from coming back. The American Cancer Society issued new guidelines stating that doctors should encourage cancer patients to eat well, exercise and to slim down if they are overweight.
The guidelines have been based on more than 100 studies conducted in the past five years with majority of them finding that eating healthy and exercising reduce the risk of a relapse of cancer.
