Egg-freezing Should Ideally be Done Before Women Turn 30

Freezing of eggs offers women an opportunity to store their eggs when they are healthy and use them later on when they are ready for motherhood. Research has pointed out that the average age when single women think of freezing their eggs is between 37 and 39. Women must be informed that the quality of the eggs is fast decreasing after they turn 30.

If women wait until the late 30’s to freeze their eggs, it may adversely affect the success rate of IVF treatments.

Further, there is a significant drop in fertility after women turn 35. Studies have proved the success rate of fertility treatments among women whose eggs were frozen before they turned 30.

Doctors have advised women not to delay motherhood keeping their health and that of the baby’s in mind. In order to meet the fertility goals, it is important that single women interested in motherhood consider freezing their eggs before they turn 30.
