Eighty Three Test Positive for Swine Flu on a Single Day in Rajasthan

Eighty three people have tested positive for swine flu on a single day in Rajasthan, of which 71 cases are from Jaipur.

Eighty three people have tested positive for swine flu on a single day in Rajasthan, of which 71 cases are from Jaipur. Nearly 20 people have died due to swine flu in the state.

Of the 1,114 samples collected across the state, 380 have tested positive for the disease and. 335 cases among them belong to Jaipur.   

Kids seem to be the most affected with 255 children battling swine flu. Directives have been issued for shut down of schools for a week.

Dr O P Gupta, state nodal officer for swine flu said, “As we are now able to detect more patients at an early stage, it has helped us to initiate early treatment and isolate them. We decided to further strengthen the screening process and separate facilities have been made at all districts and satellite hospitals for consultation of swine flu cases.”
