A total of 87 Hepatitis cases have been detected in Moga out of which 52 were male and 35 female, the district health department said today.
A total of 87 Hepatitis cases have been detected in Moga out of which 52 were male and 35 female, the district health department said today.
The infected people were found during a survey conducted by the a team of 13 doctors, Civil Surgeon Dr H P S Sandhu told reporters here.The survey teams collected information about 69 cases from a private doctor and the local clinical laboratory, 12 cases were found positive and were getting treatment.
The Health Department teams have collected blood samples from suspected population.
The department advised people to use disposable syringes and needles, refrain from alcohol and take blood only from government recognised blood banks.
