Enable Injections Releases New Enable Wearable Injector With Bluetooth Capability
Enable Injections, a firm based in Cincinnati, Ohio, is releasing the new Enable Wearable Injector with Bluetooth wireless capability.
According to the company, the device allows patients, caretakers, and their doctors to keep a close eye on the delivery of the drug, ensuring greater compliance and peace of mind.

The injector connects to a paired-up smartphone that runs a customized app that takes regular readings from the injector. These are then delivered to the doctor or anyone else the patient would like to keep posted regarding delivery of the medication.

"The Enable high volume wearable injectors are engineered with the goal of increasing compliance with drug regimens by making it so easy and convenient that patients will take their prescribed biologics regularly, even the largest doses," said Enable Injections CEO Michael D. Hooven.

Hooven also said that the benefit for Bio-Pharma companies was they can get their product into clinical evaluation quicker as there was no need to spend time on additional formulation to achieve low volumes.

“In addition, now pharmaceutical companies, physicians and patients can each have the tracking data they need by using a mobile app or Bluetooth connected device. The ultimate goal is that the new drug delivery technology will not only benefit patients by improving their health outcomes, but also lower costs by streamlining drug development and replacing costly hospital-based infusions," Hooven added.
