European Society Will Soon Issue New Guidelines for Colon Capsule Endoscopy

The European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) will soon issue a new set of guidelines on clinical utility and selection process of patients for colon capsule endoscopy (PillCam COLON 2).

PillCam COLON 2 is a product of Israel-based Given Imaging. The new guidelines will directly affect the applicability and maybe wider use of PillCam COLON 2. It will be published in the May edition of the official journal of the ESGE, Endoscopy.

Colorectal Cancer Screening with Colonoscopy
Colonoscopy is a widely used endoscopic procedure to screen individuals for colorectal cancer. It is very sensitive in detecting colorectal cancers.
