A British couple’s inability to get their overweight children to shed the flab might prove to be very costly if the social services come good on their threat to put their four youngest children up for adoption. The couple has seven children, six of whom are overweight, and were told by the social services three years ago to slim down their children, failing which the youngest four children would be “fostered without contact.”
The whole family was then placed in a supervised home, with only three children being allowed to stay with their parents at any given time. However even though their dietary habits were observed, the children have failed to lose excess weight, prompting the social services to inform the parents that the four youngest children will be given up for adoption.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, the mother said that her family was being victimized for being fat. “They picked on us because of our size to start with and they just haven't let go, despite the fact we've done everything to lose weight and meet their demands”, she said.
