The TRUE METRIX glucometer uses the triple sense technology, which corrects measurements for the hemacrotic levels and the ambient air temperature.
The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has cleared Nipro Diagnostics’ TRUE METRIX glucose meter - a device to test blood glucose and deliver data wirelessly to a smartphone. The TRUE METRIX AIR glucometer uses Nipro’s TRUE METRIX test strips that utilize the company’s so-called TRIPLE SENSE TECHNOLOGY, which corrects the measurements for both hemacrotic levels as well as for the ambient air temperature.
The device can be paired with a smartphone to drop the readings into it for easy later review of sugar levels. TRUE METRIX AIR will mostly be sold and marketed under the brand name of the retail store chains that sell them, though Nipro will also be producing the device under its own TRUE brand name.
Nipro Diagnostics is a global health and wellness company based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and a leading developer, manufacturer and marketer of advanced performance products for people with diabetes.
TRUE METRIX AIR will be available starting the second quarter of 2015 at a value price point through retail, mail and distribution channels under store brands and Nipro Diagnostics’ own TRUE brand of products.
