Federal Government has to do a lot to prevent spread of HIV

Flavia Colgan blames the Bush administration for not taking necessary measures to control the spread of HIV infection.

Flavia Colgan, Former chief Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. Catherine Baker Knoll as said that still a lot has to be done to prevent the spread of HIV infection. She is not happy with the Bush administration dealing with HIV infections.

She has the view that Bush is not helping to tackle HIV infection spread and is also not helping the HIV prevention program in fact he has become a great obstacle for prevention of HIV/AIDS infection. Due to reduction in Medicaid premium it has lead to a situation where there as been no more in Medicaid policy to spend for the benefit of HIV patients. Due to cuts there as been an acute shortage of money for Housing of AIDS patients and to the Ryan White CARE act.

The Bush administration in order to encourage selling of HIV drugs as given a false information that HIV can be cured which has led to the ignorant people to encourage unsafe sex which could inversely increase the HIV infection rate. There as been an increased unwanted culture of HIV positive people called as gift givers spreading the virus to HIV negative people called as bug catchers intentionally which has led to an unnecessary spread of the virus.
