A 24-year-old youth has been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of an Indian girl student pursuing a post graduate course in health sciences.
A 24-year-old Indian national has been arrested in connection with the brutal murder of a fellow student who was pursuing a post -graduate course in health sciences in the University of Wolverhampton, UK.
Samrajyo Jyotirmayee Vempala, 23, was found dead Tuesday night in a private house she was staying with three other students from her native state of Andhra Pradesh in southern India.A post-mortem examination has established that she died as a result of head injuries.
The man arrested now, Nagaraja Kumar Nalluri, also an Indian student, had sustained injuries in the incident on Tuesday. He was discharged on Thursday from a London hospital.
He has been charged with murder and will appear before the Birmingham Magistrates Court on Friday morning, officials told PTI.
The police have not released any further details about the incident.
Jyothirmai's neighbours told the media that it seemed like it was a fight between two persons and while four people were living in the house, only two persons were seen there at the time of the incident.

This is the second incident of murder involving an Indian in the Birmingham area in the last three years.
