Flipboard Founder Says Websites `Will Look More Like Newspapers, Magazines in Future`
Websites have all begun to look the same and need to start looking more like newspapers and magazines, says the founder of Flipboard, the popular social media magazine iPad app.
Mike McCue said that the soul of the website is the content and that some day the way it is displayed, is destined to change.

He said all websites have begun to look the same, and urged developers and all websites owners to think more like newspapers and magazines about the way of displaying their sites and to 'ignore the data' from time to time.

"Interestingly enough the solution has been right under our noses for decades - it's print: magazines, newspapers," the Telegraph quoted McCue, as saying.

"This is how this content wants to be displayed online, beautiful photo taking the prominent role in the viewing, surrounded by beautiful typography and pieces of text in right place to create a sense of rhythm and a story," he said displaying a photo of a stylish Jaguar.

McCue further said that he believed the future websites are going to be more like magazines and newspapers.

"I believe the future of the web really is going to be more like print, not exactly obviously going to be differences, its going to be more interactive, But increasingly I hope we will a future of the web which puts content first like we do at Flipboard," he said.
