In a never seen before sight, a group of rabbis and Jewish mystics are circling Israel from the air and blowing religious horns to ward off swine flu from the country. At least 2,000 people have so far been infected with the virus in Israel and five people have succumbed to it.
Rabbi Yitzhak Batzri was quoted as saying in Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper that the main aim of the flight was to stop people getting infected and dying from the H1N1 virus."We are certain that, thanks to the prayer, the danger is already behind us," added Mr Batzri.
In Israel, the swine flu is called as H1N1 because the pig is regarded as an unclean animal in Jewish faith and eating posk is banned in Jewish diet.
