France has spent more than $844 million for prevention of bird flu pandemic and would be spending more to prevent a pandemic spread of bird flu infection in France.
France Health Minister Xavier Bertrand as said that the French government would be taking strict control measures to protect their people from a pandemic bird flu infection, the ministry has presented a proposed plan program to combat flu infection spread.// France has a population of 62 million and the minister said that France has a stock of 14 million anti-flu drugs and has ordered more than 40 million flu vaccines. The health ministry has asked for a combined voluntary interaction between veterinarians and farmers to report and avoid spread of bird flu infection in poultry. The minister confirmed that public exhibition and bird shows as been banned to avoid bird flu infection and the ministry would be ordering more than 200 million protective masks, which could protect from bird flu infections. The plan program proposes free flu drugs and vaccines to infected and needy people.
