Singer/actor Frank Sinatra once slept on a policeman's couch after a night of heavy boozing.
The 82-year-old's boozy night nap in 1952 has been revealed in Dennis Wood's book 'A Few Coppers More - True Tales Of Policing In Manchester'.Sinatra was at a career low when he met a Manchester cop at the Palace Theatre after performing at a half-empty theatre during a Britain tour.
The two drank together till 2 a.m. and the singer was so dopey that he went with the cop to his house in Newton Heath and crashed on his sofa.
The cop's wife did not believe her hubby that a celeb was sleeping downstairs and could not even get a glimpse of him since he left in the morning.
