Frizzy Hair can be Untangled by 'No Frizz'

A novel product that would soon spell the end of frizzy hair has been developed by a Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) chemist.

A novel product that would soon spell the end of frizzy hair has been developed by a Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) chemist.

No Frizz, developed by Professor Robert Langer, stops hair from frizzing for longer by coating each strand in a new water-resistant polymer.

The products currently in use include silicone, which Living Proof, the makers of No Frizz, says wears off quickly.

In the new study, Langer used a man-made polymer called PolyFluoroEster as an alternative to silicone.

"Silicone doesn't keep moisture out that well," the Telegraph quoted him as saying.

Living Proof insists it is "the first new anti-frizz technology in 30 years to effectively block humidity for beautifully soft, smooth, frizz-free hair."

While No Frizz is currently on sale in the US and Australia, it will hit the UK markets next year.
