Chris Coleson, 42 - who used to weigh 20 stone - munched salad meals and chicken wraps three times a day from McDonald's - and even ordered from the fast-food diner for his Christmas lunch.The defence contractor, who had never been to McDonald's before, decided on the bizarre plan in December to lose weight for his tenth wedding anniversary last month after previous diets failed.
"I chose McDonald's out of desperation. I needed something ridiculous to focus my mind on," The Sun quoted Coleson, as saying.
Chris - now under 14 stone with a 36in waist - occasionally put hamburger meat in his salad as a treat.
He has now stopped eating at McDonald's and started exercising.
But he said the diet gave him "a new-found appreciation for all other foods".
