Based on the studies conducted on the various issues that health field is facing, the Government has come out with a new proposal that aims to improve the health services and lessen the work burden of the doctors.

The new proposal focuses in extending quality health care even to the most poorly-served areas of the country. As a part of this, three new doctors’ surgeries and health care will soon be opened in Nottingham. Another suggestion is to provide extended hours of services so that working people too can be benefited from that.

Michelle Rhodes, the trust's director of commissioning, said: "We have carried out a lot of research and spent a lot of time thinking where these new facilities would best be located.

"Our proposals will see more GPs for Nottingham, more care for local people and more local services. We want to hear from as many people as possible to see whether they agree with our proposals or where else they think the new facilities should go and what services they wish to see provided."

Though the Nottingham City Primary Care considers Bestwood, Bilbourough and the city centers to provide GP practices, the final decision on this will be taken only after consulting with the people. The Trust has given the public time till May 24 to give suggestions about the place as well as the kind of services required.
