Government Should Restrict Junk Food Marketing

Reports from the National Academy of Sciences had shown that the marketing of Junk food by the food industry is responsible for the increase in obesity of children’s. Various organizations have urged the Congress to have a check on the advertisement food industry is also responsible for the increase in obesity of children’s. The Science organization have asked the Congress to have a check on the marketing of Junk food rich in fat, which has lead to childhood obesity.

The study shows that Television advertisements of junk food and increased Television viewing both are responsible to increase in obesity in children’s. It is necessary for the congress to regulate the Television advertisements, as it is possible for the congress to restrict the Television broadcast. Instead of marketing Junk food the food industries can market healthy foods, which is good and nutritious for health.
