Hangover-Free Drink

A group of Korean researchers have revealed that they have created a new alcohol drink that drastically reduces the effects of hangover the following morning.

There might be some good news in the near future for night time drinkers after a group of Korean researchers revealed that they have created a new alcohol drink that drastically reduces the effects of hangover the following morning.

Researchers from Chungnam National University's College of Pharmacy increased the oxygen levels in alcohol drinks and found that the alcohol was assimilated quickly by the body and thereby reducing the severe effects of hangover.

In the report, published in the journal Alcoholism: Clinical and Experimental Research, the researchers wrote that increasing oxygen levels could be the key for a hangover-free morning.

“Elevated dissolved oxygen concentrations in alcoholic drinks accelerate the metabolism and elimination of alcohol”, the report said.

While the researchers said that more research was necessary to gauge the exact impact of the high oxygen levels, beverage companies have already started to include the secret into their drinks with a South Korean company marketing a new oxygenated soju drink called O2 Lin.
