Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij has directed the director general of health department to get the samples of Maggi noodles tested from all districts.
Taking a serious note of reports regarding suspect quality of leading instant noodle brand Maggi, Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij on Tuesday ordered testing of samples of the food product. Vij directed the director general of health department to get the samples of Maggi noodles tested from all districts.
"The director general has also been directed to take immediate steps on this issue through civil surgeons in all districts and any kind of laxity would not be tolerated," Vij told media in Ambala, 45 km from here.
The noodle brand, manufactured by multi-national company Nestle, is facing cases in Uttar Pradesh related to food safety standards.
Vij said that if anything was found lacking in the samples, Haryana government would ask for withdrawal of all stocks.
