Haryana Government has decided to start a two year diploma courses in Yoga and Naturopathy as well as in Panchakarma at Shri Krishna Government Ayurvedic College at Kurukshetra.
The syllabus for the two diploma courses has already been formulated and these courses would help in promotion of Yoga, Naturopathy and Panchakarma, state Health Minister Kartar Devi told reporters here.She said with a view to integrate allopathic system of medicines with Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH), 40 Community Health Centres have been identified to provide comprehensive health care under the National Rural Health Mission.
Devi said this comprehensive system would provide an option to patients to choose a therapy.
She said special clinics of AYUSH would soon be set up at civil hospitals in Gurgaon, Hissar and Ambala.
A specialized therapy centre would also be set up at civil hospital, Jind, she said, adding the Central government has already provided Rs. 52 lakh for the purpose.
