Agra: Trigunateet Jaimini, a well-known musician from Vrindaban, prescribes music therapy for health. Melodies recommended by him, say the healed, can cure stress, tension and insomnia.

Jaimini and his associate D. Turi, a guitarist from Italy, worked on fusion music till they purified strains effective on both musical and non-musical listeners.

Turi, who is also a member of the Italian Creative Music Productions, joined the Vrindaban maestro in further developing the magical powers of this unique fusion music worldwide. The two have collaborated to produce the music albums 'Lot Of Flowers' and 'Sweet Verona' in Italy.

'Our creative music works as a life-giving tonic to disheartened and disillusioned people who are on the brink of sinking into a deep depression,' Jaimini, who has produced over 5,000 compositions, told IANS.

'My music regulates the activities of the head and heart and helps eliminate stress and strain. Since human beings generally have an ear for music, they benefit faster this way in regard to various stress-related ailments,' he added.

The patients are made to listen to various interludes like raag (melody) 'Kafi' of 'Kafi thaat' with its Komal Gandhar and Komal Nishad nuances that have a soothing effect.

'It is probably due to this reason that it is mostly sung in Braj Vrindaban on festivals, especially Holi, so that revellers do not feel tired,' he said.
