Health App Practo Will Allow Consumers to Search for Diagnostic Centers

Practo is a health app that helps find doctors. Now the company has expanded its offering by enabling consumers to find the closest diagnostic centers. This app will allow consumers to search by nature of medical tests instead of laboratory names, to check laboratory accreditation, filter results by location, home pickup and compare prices of services being offered by various diagnostic centers. This new feature will show information on 4,000 labs across eight cities in India, including the chains like Thyrocare, Suburban Diagnostics, SRL Labs, Metropolis and others. The Bengaluru-based company said, "The launch is part of Practo's strategy to become the single health destination for all consumers across curative, preventive, fitness and wellness segments."

Never before have consumers been able to get such detailed information about labs instantly irrespective of their locations, whether exiting a clinic or from the comfort of their homes."

Initially, the new product will be available in eight cities and will then expand to 35 cities in India and also to Practo's international markets in the coming months. The eight cities where the app will be launched include Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Nashik and Trivandrum.
