It is to the advantage for Americans to sign up for health insurance before the March 31st deadline.
The deadline to sign up for health insurance under the Affordable Care Act is March 31st, after this a person can only sign up in November 2014. Kathleen Sebelius is secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, she states that many people are surprised at how affordable health care has actually become – as an American can now be covered for health insurance for less than $100 a month in some cases.
A person can sign up on the Healthcare.gov website, which is now fully operative – 24 hours a day, all seven days of the week.
4 million Americans have used the exchange plans to sign up and millions have learned they are eligible under Medicaid.
In Cincinnati – USA – all thanks to the Affordable Care Act people have a choice of plans to choose from and have no fear of being refused insurance after paying premiums due to annual or lifetime caps.
There are 63 qualified health plans offered by insurance companies which now have to cover services which include doctor’s visits, prescription drugs, ambulatory care and hospital stays. They also include preventive care like screenings for cancer and cholesterol.
