At least six people die every minute in China from cardiovascular diseases out of 230 million patients who suffer from the disease, according to a report.

At least six people die every minute in China from cardiovascular diseases out of 230 million patients who suffer from the disease, according to a report.
According to a report released by National Center for Cardiovascular Disease, nearly three million people die in China every year of cardiovascular diseases such as coronary heart disease, cerebral apoplexy, heart failure and hypertension.

The report identified various factors such as insufficient physical exercise, unhealthy eating habits, such as excessive salt and fat intake, and smoking as causes of cardiovascular disease.

According to the Xinhua news agency, the report also warned that the number of cardiovascular disease patients is increasing every year in China.

It also said that the number of coronary heart disease and myocardial infarction patientsn rural areas exceeds those in small and medium-sized cities.
