Transmission of HIV virus from mother to child can be prevented by proper management and drugs.

Lucy Auwalu a HIV positive mother, who gave birth to HIV negative childrens want the countries in African continent to provide drugs, information and clean water which could help HIV positive mothers to give birth to HIV negative childs. Auwalu has started an organization which provides information about the ways to prevent transmission of the virus from mother to child during child birth. Auwalu could prevent the transmssion of her virus to her child with the information she got from the internet about the drug nevirapine, which prevents transmission of the virus from mother to child but ironically, the drug was not available in her country and she got the drug with the help of her friend from United States.

She also gave her babies formulated food instead of breast milk as the chances of virus spread through breast milk is high, now she is the mother of two HIV negative healthy childrens. Auwalu thanks the internet and the help of her friend which helped her to give birth to healthy children's. Auwalu as started a Non-Governmental Organization which gives information about transmission of HIV and the ways by which transmission of virus from mother to child can be prevented as more than 60,000 childrens are affected by transmission of HIV from mother to child.
