HRT Safe If Used in Short-Term
Recent study has shown that hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is safe to use during menopause if it is tailored to a woman’s needs and is used for a short while.
Further, this study also allays fears about HRT not being heart protective and that the risks of HRT were much more than its protective benefits.

HRT is quite safe for women at the time of menopause. Since it alleviates troublesome symptoms like hot flashes and vaginal dryness, HRT can make a big difference to a woman’s quality of life and sexuality.

HRT treatment must be tailored to one’s requirement, so it is best to seek the advice of a medical specialist. It is always better to use HRT for a shorter duration and at the lowest dose possible which alleviates symptoms.
