As the Australian police continued to crackdown on bikie gangs, they have arrested Ricky John Perceval, a key leader, in south-west Sydney and recovered huge money and drug stash.

A horrific murder at Sydney Airport late last month stirred the police into action. A 29-year-old Anthony Zervas was bludgeoned to death by up to 20 men as travellers and families watched on in horror at Qantas's T3 terminal.

The attack on March 22 was the latest chapter in an ongoing war between bikie gangs the Hells Angels and the Commancheros. While the man killed at the airport was from the Hells Angels, Perceval, now arrested following a tip-off from public, is said to belong to the Commancheros.

Police from Strike Force Raptor, discovered $205,000 in cash, 450 grams of the drug 'ice', cocaine, cannabis, a Taser, seven registered guns, knives and ammunition during the raid.

Perceval, 49, was kept in custody overnight and charged with drug supply and possession offences, possessing a prohibited weapon and dealing with the proceeds of crime.

He appeared in Parramatta Bail Court via video link this morning and did not apply for bail.

His lawyer, Alexander Reetov, said Perceval would apply for bail in Liverpool Local Court this Thursday.

After the hearing, New South Wales Gangs Squad Commander Mal Lanyon said the methylamphetamine, or 'ice', seized was worth about $140,000.

"In totality, it obviously shows that it was a large-scale operation," he said.

"We can certainly allege that almost half a kilo of methylamphetamine is a significant amount of drugs to seize in one occasion.

"Obviously, the other items seized as well show that there was a significant network taking place."

He said police would review Perceval's gun licence.

On Tuesday, Detective Superintendent Lanyon said police had smashed a drug network linked to the Comanchero and Rebels bikie gangs after several raids.

Since a fatal bikie brawl at Sydney Airport,  the Strike Force Raptor have arrested about 20 people with links to bike gangs.

The bikie members or associates face a range of charges, including firearms, drug, traffic and affray offences.
