According to American Journal of Medical sciences, a study evaluated hypertensive men with erectile dysfunction and found that their overall sexual satisfaction rose from about 7.3% before losartan therapy to 58.5 % after losartan treatment. It was also reported that the sexual activity atleast once a week increased from 40.5 % to 62.3%.The investigators said "these results seem to be limited to the effect of losartan". Since drug -related impotence is one of the main causes of patients discontinuing the hypertensive drugs, this is a new dimension to be viewed.
