The Medical Protection Act aims to protect doctors, nurses and hospitals from violent attacks - all of which are common in Jharkhand.
The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has expressed its concern over the increase in cases of violence against doctors and medical establishments. Women doctors reiterated their demand for implementation of the Medical Protection Act in Jharkhand. The state chapter of the IMA reiterated the demand on the occasion of Doctors Day.
IMA Jharkhand women doctors wing president Bharti Kashyap said, "We are demanding implementation of Medical Protection Act in Jharkhand. On Doctors Day, we are again reiterating our demand."
