A recent report labeled “Health Grades 2011 Obstetrics and Gynecology in American Hospitals” has revealed that among all single births in the USA, 34% was by a cesarean section (C-section) as compared to 27% in 2002. The report showed that 7% of mothers delivering a single baby experienced in-hospital complication. It was the same case in 19% of gynecological surgical interventions.
In the face of increasing numbers of C-sections, it is important to really evaluate the necessity of C-section, both by doctors and patients rather than go for it blindly.
